Nancy Nelson, our newest Sales Agent, recently joined Delta Properties, bringing with her a wide range of professional and creative skills in business, computer software, office management, writing, and organization. Nancy is an expert in office management, marketing, and most importantly customer service. She has been a member of the Cherokee community since 1994 when she moved here with husband Barry (a fourth generation native of Cherokee) to begin their family and become a part of the community. She has three children, Brian (now adulting), Benjamin and Annalie (still in high school), along with two dogs, Rex and Patches. She and her husband are closing in on their 30th anniversary in 2020.
Nancy has a Bachelor of Science degree from Montana State University where she studied horticulture. She is originally from Pennsylvania and grew up in many places since her dad was in the army. As an “army brat”, Nancy is no stranger to moving, having moved 15 times before the age of 18 and several more times since. She fully understands the stress, emotion, and excitement that comes with the process. Having lived in a variety of places and home types growing up, Nancy can see the potential of any home or apartment, much of which, she learned from her dad.
Nancy owns and operates a sewing business from her home with a loyal following of customers through her marketing efforts and fun professional personality. She knows the positive potential of our area communities and has a pulse on the resources and businesses that can help homeowners. Her mom often teases her about knowing “everybody” in town. Nancy is also employed part-time as office manager for Brentwood Construction here in Cherokee.
Nancy enjoys a wide range of hobbies that include sewing, quilting, reading, movies, music, archery, remodeling and decorating her home, and anything DIY or crafty. Nancy is also actively involved in Boy Scout Troop 107 currently serving as Committee Chair as well Coordinator for the 4-H Shooting Sports Club (more specifically archery). She especially enjoys being active in her church, First Church of Christ, serving on the worship team rotating as PowerPoint operator, greeter, and singer. She also enjoys participating in bible and book studies with her church family.
Nancy’s strengths are finding answers to questions when she doesn’t know them and organizing various processes to help make things run logically and smoothly. She is looking forward to helping you navigate your real estate needs.
